My cover of Winter Solstice by The Tea Party. Wish I had a 12 string to play it on! Played on a Taylor 514CE Long & McQuade 50th anniversary edition #8 of 50.

  • i reckon he using a metal pick...new strings help too....Pretty good cover, about as good as can do it

  • @dezmo70 Nope, no metal pick. Jim Dunlop .60mm nylon.

  • is your guitar hooked up to anything? sounds really crisp (Y)

    awesome cover btw :)

  • @tuberdotcomdotau

No, the guitar is not hooked up to anything at all. That's the "au natural" sound.

    Thanks for the compliment.

  • dont know anything about music but this is my favourite tea party song and i enjoyed your cover heaps! sounding good.

  • is that open C tuning or something?

  • Amazing cover. This is shown me enough to learn it myself. Thanks for such a great video

  • nice, very sick man!

  • Great job! Are those maple leafs on your guitar?

  • @sixstring78 hmmm, could be the recording? but it does sound very tinny..Maybe that is not a full scale acoustic? Has it got 10's on it minimum? if not bang some on it as it needs wayyy more bottom end. Having said my gripes on the sound itself, it is still a very clean version and i commend you on your timing and technique :)
