Jossy's Giants Official Series 2 Titles

Jossy's Giants was a children's footballing comedy drama that ran on BBC1 between 1986 & 1987. The show's plot centred around the ups and downs of a boys' football team, the Glipton Giants, and their enthusiastic Geordie manager Jossy Blair.
The show was written by legendary darts commentator and television personality Sid Waddell, himself a native of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Although there were only ten episodes in total, this show is fondly remembered by twenty and thirty-somethings all over the UK as a children's classic of the era, and anyone who ever saw an episode will easily be able to recall the Mike Amatt-penned theme tune.

every time i heard this theme music and it went football's just a branch of science...i used to think surely it should go football's NOT a branch of science...it would make more sense and be factually accurate as well

Just a totally enjoyable series. I loved the time they ended up playing the Italian lads in a pink strip....and they converted the theme tune to Italian for it as well. All the programmes I loved as a kid never get shown nowadays. Some like "The Whizz Kids" because they date easily whilst others because they just aren't PC enough. Kids TV nowadays has less attitude than a government broadcast.
