I saw Walt do this at aintree racecourse in the UK a few years ago and it fitted into to the set real well, its almost a rap/narration version of the classic and I actually like it as it is nice and droll, Jon's wha wha solo is cool too!

Not so great here but he sounds decent on Slang of Ages from Everything must go and on his solo album Circus Money which has about 5 really good songs.

the reason being is steely dan were not a regular working and touring band that he could keep the muscle working over the years. he sand when he needed to probably. that alone is not going to keep the pipes strong.

He sang it two nights ago at Massey Hall in Toronto, and it was fantastic.
