I've went on for a while, but to finish up - your Government is *actively* crushing Democracy as we speak, remember - your Country has been over-throwing Democratically elected Goverments all over the World for Years now, like they tried to do and failed in Venezuela a year before the invasion of Iraq, and immediatly removed all the Democratically elected Cabinet, Governors, Judiciary etc.
The New York Times praised it as a ''Victory for Democracy''...

..Would definantly lead to problems for Israel in the long-term, an Independant Syria for example - would have the ability to Militarily intervene in the Occupied Territories (Thus perhaps giving the term ''Humanitarian intervention'' a real meaning for the first time in History!) in 'Palestine' (Quote marks because there's nothing left to call a State..) for example, big - big - big trouble for Israel, people might get their houses back you see.

Be even more intransigent to the Regional bully which is of course, Israel. Behind the scenes though, they're advising Washington that they don't want *anything* to change in Syria, much the same as their attitude (They tell this to Washington to, of course) that *nothing* should change in Egypt and that Democracy in either of these Regions would be a threat, ANY Government headed by the people whom Israel have humiliated (Which is almost everyone now..) over the Decades..

At the end of the day - Saudis and Qataris (With more than tacit U.S support) have already (Along with many actual Syrians who act independantly, but will ultimately probably be crushed by new elites the U.S can support; like it does brutal rulers in every Country in the Middle East and many others, past and present - who are also *elities*.. 'land of the free' doesn't travel well does it?) - anyways,Israel is too scared to open its mouth because a new regime *of* the people would..

@BelfastAtheist Ron Paul is requesting Obama ask Congress for approval to go to war in Libya/Syria/Pakistan or anywhere else he wants to go. The people then tell their rep how they should act. Power should be in the hands of the many not in the hands of a few millionaires in Washington. Pretty simple.

Syria is next....after Yemen..or vise versa.Than they will have a choice between Iran or Saudi Arabia...choosing between those 2 countries...would have deadly consequences for the USA...especially Saudi Arabia...since they are the US's closest ally besides us (Canada)....if what i said is true....I really hope its not,but its a huge sad possibility....NO MORE WAR....PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST!

@juliaisafilmbuff123 Julia, just look at his voting record. He is a strict constitutionalist and has been saying the same things for nearly thirty years. Do some Youtube searches ... try "Ron Paul 1983" - I believe you'll see a video that shows him saying nearly the same exact things even 20+ years ago. When you read his policies and positions, he's pretty damn brilliant. That's why there is this intellectual revolution following Ron Paul. It's do or die.. Ron Paul or tyranny.

Just asking, but how do we even know that Ron Paul will do everything he says he'll do if he becomes president? Wouldn't his institutional role fuck things up? Okay, you can tell me why RP is the "best one" out there, but why put all your eggs in the basket that's top-down politics?

@juliaisafilmbuff123 There is absolutely some truth in what you say about putting all your faith in top down politics. Ron Paul does have a thirty year track record of voting in line with his principles. That is why people trust him.
