I noticed that Lacie removed my comment from a month ago. As I stated before, Lacie should focus more on performance and reliability than how their drives look. I purchased 6 Lacie Drives; five 500g and one 1.5T. Three out of the six are dead and all Lacie says is that it's my data. Do yourself a favor, don't buy Lacie drives.
And I don't care if other people think he's full of crap. I think his idea about a physical representation/symbolism of the protection of knowledge/information makes damn good sense. I mean just look at the thing, It's a glob of shiny stuff encased in an enclosure that looks like it could take a .45 round. Perhaps the other crap about man being the master of his creation is a bit superfluous, but I still think he had a damn good idea!
