Much slower. That's kind of what did them in at the '94 Olympics. They skated well, but were so much slower than both Russian pairs. But it also shows what great athletes they are, being able to do so many difficult tricks without a lot of speed.

They skate kinda slow compared to the russians.

This pair doesn't have the ballet training that the former Soviet skaters had... nor do they have the speed.
B&E are a great pair but they're not G&G, thats for sure.

Agree. They absolutely could not skate to this level of difficulty. Brasseur and Eisler pushed the envelope technically and creatively and managed to have beautiful artistry as well. My all-time favourite pair. GG and MD were beautiful pairs in their own right but in today's judging system I'm sure Brassseur and Eisler would come out on top.

Wouldn't you love to see G&G and M&D do this exact same program. Well, they couldn't or they would've. Here we have beauty, artistry, athleticism, and entertainment. This pair was the best!!!!!

I agree....but in hindsight, I feel fortunate we got to see G & G in Olympic competition one more time before Grinkov's death.
