Poet, spoken word performer, and community leader Pat McLean features at the Women's Writing & Spoken Word Series.
Pat McLean teaches adult & teen poetry writing workshops at Temple University's Pan-African Studies Community Education Program (PASCEP) and Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She is an award-winning poet and founder of "In The Company of Poets," Philadelphia's first all female ensemble. Pat has appeared on television and radio. She has been published in numerous publications including her own books entitled "A Sister Speaks Of..." and "Ain't Gonna Bite My Tongue No More." ABOUT THE SERIES
The Women's Writing & Spoken Word Series is a Philadelphia-based nurturing environment that celebrates women in the craft of multi-genre writing. The Series was established in 2002 at Robin's Bookstore, now Moonstone Arts Center/Robins Books, by and in collaboration with Cassendre Xavier Enterprises. Cassendre is an award-winning musician, author, and community arts leader and serves as the Series' curator and host, performing her live music (http://tinyurl.com/CXCDBaby) at every event.
