I also think Layne was extremely high on drugs when he told Jerry that he was going out like that (with heroin) and that he could carry on with the band. What person in their right state of mind can say "hey I'm gonna keep using this stuff and it's gonna kill me and I don't care so here have the band. " When the bassist for Mad Season died, Layne said "that's it. Mad Season's over because we lost him." That's what makes me wonder. But Layne was so giving and caring...maybe he'd be ok

I don't give a fuck what anyone says. But Jerry Cantrell has done nothing but right by Layne Staley. Layne wouldn't have wanted Alice to die, he didn't have any children, Alice is HIS legacy, and I know that he would be so PROUD of Jerry for what he's done with his life. Layne knows that no one has forgotten him, nor will he be forgotten, and I'm sure he thinks that William is a fine addition to Alice. RIP Layne. I miss you every day.
