Great work congrats!

Could use a solenoid for the field (stator?) side, but that takes the fun out of making your own motor/generator. Just a thought I've been thinking about doing.

@karmand21 Learn to spell before you criticize "friend" and at least I'm trying to create something useful....how 'bout you?

im currently in the process of gathering materials for my own Permanent magnet alternator, im thinking 10 awg wire for the coil, but thinking this might make it hard to wind, will see. ive never made one before, but i wanna generate ALOT of power :D
keep up the good work

Thanks.......yes, 10 awg will be hard to wind, but the amperage will be high (low resistance). Depends on what you're after. Are you trying to produce 120VAC to run appliances/bulbs or 14 VDC to charge batteries? Keep that in mind...also, there is a formula (wikipedia) that helps estimate your power output (using Tesla or Gauss strength, wire resistance, wire size, and rpms.)
Have fun, and good luck.

I think U need to join/connect (low reluctance) the metalic-shaft with the ferrite toroid using another piece of steel..
Magnet-N > air_gap > toroid (Lenz is contained here in the toroid..) > steel-piece > ball-bearing > metalic-shaft > metalic-wheel > Magnet-S

Good point! that is a direction I haven't gone...yet. I've been busy with work and haven't had any time to dedicate......I'll be adding more soon!
