  • Yeah, great way to treat a 50 year old torpedo that's been sitting at the bottom of the sea... let it whack into the side of something hard and metallic!

  • @125barrett Yes you are right!! You should visit the "Bavaria Film Studios" in Munich! There is a Complete of such a Boat! It was used in the Movie "Das Boot" I was there many Years ago! it is all Massive in that "SUB" I have try to Swing through of a Hatch and hurt my Head cause i hit a Metall Part! Maybe i sould have go to the Periscope, looking in it and shout "ZERSTÖRER" (Destroyer)
  • Cutting it up like this is the only way. It has to be restored to last a long time- Otherwise it would have to be sent to scrap. Now they can preserve it without having to remove every damaged bit.

  • The U995 is on Laboe beach, at north / east of Kiel. Can see his body on google earth too. Near there is a museum and all names sailors death. I visit in past and i hope to go again.....why ?? my father ( italian ) was saved by a german uboat after the same put down the boat...water and a piece of bread and that allow my father to still alive......my personal memory.... Sorry for my english

  • @formeliandialogue If i am not wrong, its in Kiel!

  • @Lee78072 I meant in the attitude of Brits and them wanting to fight and with football thuggery etc. Where is the Mahnmal in Germany?

  • @formeliandialogue Really? There are more Nazis in GB than in Germany? Well here in Germany there is one

Complete 7C/41 Boat! Its U 995. I think its the same Type as U-534. Its a "Mahnmal" It should remind the people, what happens in the 2 World War.

  • @Lee78072 Yes, it's just typical British ignorance(and I'm British) so I know what you mean Lee. I've lived in Germany for 5 years and there are more Nazis living in Britain than in Germany, believe me. Also, cutting the boat up dishonours the crew who served on board.

  • @maatboysen Es gibt wohl nur einen Grund warum nur die Amis oder die Engländer solche Fund machen. Die haben mehr Geld.

  • @formeliandialogue These Bastards destroying it. How could they cut this Sub in Pieces? Why they didnt restore it properly and show it in a Museum. For me as a German it hurts a little bit. Im not a Nazi, but this is just the wrong way to show what happens in the war!

  • The narrator makes it out that by salvaging and installing the boat into the museum they have done the boat, it's former crew and potential visitors a favour. No, you haven't you have butchered the boat by cutting-it up so you could make more money by allowing easier access. I'm glad there was no gold or treasure on board!
