@CajunKhan You can't expect an immediate change in mainstream media. Not only the amount of roles available are important, but also the variety in which they are portrayed. We cannot nitpick certain shows and say "hey, they don't have enough black actors." I could make the same criticism about mainstream TV not showing given Asian's enough screen time. If you truly cared about racial integration you'd stop evaluating skin colour so much.

Why you got to make a deal out of race? The presidents black FFS. Get over it. We all the same.

@CajunKhan and they are in the south where blacks should have more of a role in the story anyway

i most say isnt weird in alomst every movie theres always a black guy who dies first!!!was watching x-men first class n there was a black super hero and guess what he died straight away.........but u know what??this is real life and we black people are super heros and we still living :-)

@TheBibleIsLame according to public records, but it doesn't account for undocumented people living here , which evens the odds
I've grown up in Orlando Florida for 41 years and have seen a massive shift from what is was back in the 70's
When you hear new reports saying 'the browning of America' it's quite accurate

I'm captain planet motha fucka
Anyone but me noticed how racist Vampire Diaries is? Bonnie gets no screen time, and black guests get killed waaayyy more often than whites. Seriously, barely an episode goes by without a black extra getting killed, yet black mains get no screen-time.

WHY DO YOU THINK THEY KEEP MAKING REMAKES OF OLD MOVIES & CHARACTERS? KEEPIN IT WHITE!
WHY ARE ONLY MOVIES LIKE "THE HELP" AND "THE GREEN MILE" BEING MADE? KEEPIN IT WHITE!
IT DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER WHAT YEAR IT IS, OR WHAT SPECIAL EFFECTS HAVE IMPROVED. DESPITE THE SUCCESS OF FILMS LIKE "SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE" OR "CRASH", HOLLYWOOD WILL NOT GIVE UP ITS STRONGEST FORM OF CREATING A "SUPERIORITY COMPLEX": movies.
