@sergioelwalrus I remember the A-team was on and after the first time I didn't watch it any more because it was ridiculous. So I can't remember how they smashed up a car. Probably for the best. Miami Vice was on at around the same time. Liked that a lot better.

You are absolutely right! The French Connection has one of my fav. chases. The last really good one was in Ronin, and that was about 20 years ago. I really don't like special effects. Just an exciting plot and cool characters. (Smashing up cars is always good too)

There's a zillion way to smash a car, never do it as "A-team" tv series did. :¬D

@LittlPussi even without the scenes I deleted...
It's always the same way, trying to keep the supense and the tension till one car catches the other, and it happens 99% .
Anyway, no good car chase in films since these old movies.
