This free troubleshooting video shows step-by-step instructions on replacing the dipstick tube for Briggs and Stratton small engines commonly found in lawn mowers, riding tractors, zero-turn radius mowers, wheeled edgers, pressure washers, and generators.

Tools needed: screwdriver, nut driver, socket wrench

The oil dipstick tube houses the oil dipstick and connects it to the oil pan. If the dipstick tube is not connecting well to the pan, the tube itself may be broken. If the dipstick becomes damaged or lost it is included in the dipstick tube assembly.

If the connection between the dipstick tube and the oil pan is leaking there may be a problem with the dipstick seal: http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetai...
