i think they have similar sound though, the sustain on the sg special seems to match that if the 310. is it because they have the same pickups?

310 has an all-Alder body, Special has a Alder/Maple hybrid.

The special only has 1 set of volume/tone knobs, while the 310 has two.

And of course, the 310 has a full size pickguard while the special has no pickguard.

heres my reply... dont buy one... they are shit. buy a g4000 they are better and well worth the small amount of extra cash... the g310 had terrible tuners and horrible pickups.... i got a white one a year ago and ended up giving it away i hated it so much. the guy i gave it to put 200 dollars worth of work into it and still couldnt get it to sound as nice as a g400

I'm getting the vintage white finish. I thought it looked the nicest, since the cherry had a bit too much brightness to it (Where's the woodgrain?) and my friend already has one in black (we have a few jam sessions from time to time).
