he wasn't young when i got him, he was an unwanted pet from a neighbour and i had him for over two years .they only live for 3-4 years so he just got old.

omg he is so strong.he is way bigger then my russian one.i dunno if my hamster is a baby or it's just the type itself.but i covered the cage cause i`m too scared to catch it.when i bought it everything was fine and i used to hold him in my palms but it started to bite me very very bad!and i am so afraid now cause he left my bleedings

i've got two russian dwarves now,they are a lot harder to handle.
Make sure you try to handle it most days till it gets used to you.
Unlike syrians ,if you don't handle a dwarf hamster for a while they forget your scent and you have to start over.make sure theres no scent of food on your hands or they will bite.Keep trying ,you'll get there in the end.
