  • I hav only ONE hero on my list (other than the Canadians who lay buried in some foreign field of battle ...) and that is #4 - the greatest (most complete) hockey player who has ever lived.

  • The game against the Russians, he was in control, the Russians were so pissed off that they were trying to get him off his game, but they couldn't. Hence the reason why he was the best player in that game.

  • Quite simply, Bobby Orr is the greatest hockey player ever. He did things on the ice that weren't seen before his time and haven't been seen since.

  • just look at that smoothness, so smooth

  • Bobby Orr - the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.

  • @calibanjr thats awesome man im not a boston fan but man bobby orr was the greatest ever and I am glad to be canadian

  • Take it from Milt Schmidt (6:33) one of the most respected hockey men of the 20th century.

Bobby was the greatest hockey player the world has seen. A shooting star. We will not see his likes again

  • @2shorthairs Are you f'in serious? Wicked jealous I am. I'm from Boston. Bobby is God over Yaz (barely) in Boston. We literally counted on 5-10 minutes of fighting BEFORE a pond hockey game, just to decide who could CALL themselves #4 or #7 (Esposito) during the pond hockey game! Swear to God.

  • Orr / Walton sports camp in Orillia,Ca. 1974 not only did Bobby skate with us, but one day instead of watching a movie 3 of us were playing basketball in the rain and who shows up..? Yep, Bobby Orr to make it 2 on 2. We didn't exactly play a competitive game, but laughed, and laughed, and laughed for about a hour , in the rain... That ,too is Bobby Orr...the best !

  • The Greatest single athlete in a team sport I ever saw, #4 BOBBY ORR

  • growing up in Canada in the early 70's, I always wanted to be number 4 on any team I was involved with. To view these clips is to remember what a special privilege it was to experience Bobby's gift to the NHL and how truly sad it was when his star had set on the horizon - He really was a shooting star! Too bad the league did not protect him the way they set out to enforce the rules after him.
