BF2 vs BF3 Beta Jet Comparison

Hey guys, this is a quickly edited video of Jet gameplay from BF2 and the BF3 Closed Beta for players to see the difference between the two. I apologise for the lack of footage for the BF3 part as i spent most of Caspian Border getting to grips with the vehicles and enjoying the map rather than recording. The map has since been removed from the Beta testing.

BF2 is maxed out whilst BF3 is on High with medium AA and HBAO on. Both are at 1920x1080. BF3 requires you to unlock missiles/bombs which unfortunately i did not have time to do and thus can't provide any footage of it since they have removed the map.

FAQ

Do jets have bombs, missiles and flares?
Yes, Jets have 3 specialisations, 1 for weapons, 1 for gadgets and 1 for upgrades. You can only have missiles, which can be used against either air or ground targets, not both at the same time. Rocket pods are unguided missiles which can also be used on anything use please. Flares are a defensive unlock, the first for the Jets in the final game.

hey you can make a new one that compares the F35s at wake island. it looks like the top speed was way better for them in bf2.

@koffeekage I could do, but those who've flown the F35 in BF3 know that it is outclassed by the Flanker in turn speed, so I've had little luck using it competitively. This issue wasn't there in BF2 so i'm still debating whether or not to try to make a new video.

In BF2 jets were fast but now in BF3 they are in my opinion too slow.. :/

@smokythejet I think they are, but they're a different style. Both BC games have elements from the PC BF's but equally have flaws which needed to be ironed out. For me it was the lack of squad orders, lack of transport helo's and the way some weapons handled including customisation whilst BC2 was the linear maps (BC1's were larger and more open), the emphasise on Rush mode. Both lacked Jet gameplay too. BC series does have elements but i believe they need to find a balance for the series :)

@goldbullet50 Bad Company 2 wasn't really a Battlefield game... It was a bad company game, both of the bad company games are nothing like BF2 or 3. It is a different style :)

@AlemaoMEGAReimer really? i only use the jet on defense, and taking out tanks kills 1-3 at a time, which drains their tickets and stops them from killing our guys around the m-com, and if we're in trouble i bail out and help on the ground. so don't open your fat fucking mouth, cause i'm probably the biggest help on our team, when im in the jet, their tanks don't reach our base. me>you

@SN1P3ROne In BF3, i can fly around and stuff now but i always manage to crash into the ground when I get into a dogfight. I dont pay enough attention or something but I can fly the helicopters pretty well so i mostly just stick to them.
