Why do you make me defend Justin Bieber. Being a canadian doesn't by itself make them an artist capable of producing quality music. Canadian taste in music is in no way limited to indie rock. Just like the states, europe and I'm sure all other countries, we have a wide mixture of a musical inheritance. There is no true canadian other than the person born into the system and considered a citizen. That is being a "true Canadian". Pride in nationalism is a waste of time, take pride in your deeds.

I don't want to come across as a prude (which basically is a license or an excuse for me to a prude!) but I actually listened to this on a FLAC format before going to this one through some related videos :P

I know this is a really popular song for a lot of people and I can see why it has its appeal, but musically, the vocals just seem a little monotone for me. I don't feel the emotion whatsoever and I don't think that it helps that the vocals are a little on the thin side.

I can't deny that the vocals are being washed out by the music, but I really think you should try listening to a version with better audio quality before you fully make up your mind.

I think the lyrics are ok, but the vocals are weak as hell. The instrumentals overpower it and that's almost never a good thing.
