Glen Keane!!!
Thanks very much for sharing this!

@manyinterest the fact of the matter is that oliver came out the same day as land before time and exactly 1 year before mermaid and all dogs go to heaven which were also released the same day, except mermaid was the biggest hit out of all 4 thus starting the disney renaissance period

@Johnlindsey289 Was the St. Louis mall/theater by any chance St. Louis Galleria?
-
Outside and inside the malls and there were 7 screens while the mall in St.Louis the indoor theater had 4 screens.
-
@Johnlindsey289 About the mall theaters you saw the two movies in were they located inside or outside the mall and how many screens were there?
-
Indeed but i was in St. Louis when i saw AAT as it was at one of the malls theaters and the other was one of those in the heart of the city and i lived in Omaha when i saw this movie as i remembered it was at the second mall's theaters, another by Peeny Park (An old theme park) and the other mall's theater. It was a shame this movie never came out on video for 7 friggin' years as i wanted it but luckily it did came back in 96 and finally on video after waiting.
-
@Johnlindsey289 Do you remember the theaters you saw both those beloved movies?
-
Of course, i saw that movie 4 times in theaters when i was 5 and loved it. I even had some merchandise from AAT.
-
@Johnlindsey289 I like AAT and O&C too. I like them so much I feel like i was born in the wrong decade. But I love the 90s. Since you say what days you saw Oliver and Company, do remember if you saw American Tail before or after Thanksgiving/Christmas?

Does anyone think that behind Peter there's a storyboard for the Little Mermaid.

@manyinterest
Well, you and several other people ^ ^; though yeah, if you look at the storyboards they're clearly from the scene where she's human for the first time.

If possible, can you please upload the commercials that aired with Mickey's Christmas Carol? I had the exact recording (1988) but it got recorded over a few years ago by accident. If you could do this, I would be so grateful. You could help me bring back a piece of my childhood!

Sadly, unless we were setting the timer up or my mom recorded something for me when I was at school or daycare or wherever we never kept the commercials. The only time I can think of where I kept them, and that's solely because I forgot to press the stop button, was when I recorded the stuff for that Ninja Turtles/Tiny Toon Adventures block in early '91.

I didn't know it was released in the 80s. I thought it was made and released in the mid 90s. I remember watching this in the theater, when I was 6. I LOVED Georgette!

That would have been the rerelease in 1996. Even though I caught it the first time around, I actually missed it the second time.
