Low turn and late flare... Instructor's fault, in my opinion.
-
Irresponsible instructor!
Shoulda made that low turn right b4 landing. There should NO turns under 100 feet unless there's an emergency.

@gusarw - The leg position doesn't affect the flare. It was just too low of a turn.
-
@cjnielsen1447 Aha,,,clearly the work of the dark lord then!
-
@johnnyz1975 I am novice, but I can see the student didn't bring his legs up 90 degrees as he supposed to. maybe this caused bad flare?
-
TOTAL FUCKING NOOB
-
@cjnielsen1447 The lord of the rings was a long/kife movie thats for sure. Nice LZ by the way.

If you're that fat you might want a bigger chute. Or discover ironing or chess as a pass time.
-
@viper19861986 The catcher is there to collapse the chute, NOT actually catch the jumper.
-
see... this is one of the reason why you have to sign your life away before making any jump so you can't sue anybody or the DZ.
-
@katyu16 ya.... no? They always turn low. Even more so on windy days cause they fly BACKWARDS. So they turn to gain speed, then flare so they land going foward and not backwards or straight down.
He just did the flare a bit late or the turn a bit late. Either way, we all make mistakes, it happens.

So what was the catcher doing? LOL
It was filmed in Matamata, Waikato, New Zealand yesterday. That's close to where they filmed parts of Lord of The Rings
