Yeah, its something like that. It's like, the ground is uneven, like... umm... an up and down roller coaster [xD sorry, only thing I could think of] and because of that they had to have those locks in order to make the boat go up and down without...hurting[ is that the best word to use? xD I don't think so!] the ship... or something like that. -going off of memory since I learned about it today in social studies and my SS teacher told us to go here-

What? I didn't know there was an easier way! I save each picture individaully. Thank GOD! Right now I'm waiting for the QE2 to leave Pt. Everglades, and the camera looks stuck. It's been on 15:00 for a long time. I'll check out that program.

Nice Video, I did the canal trip on the original Island Princess, which was the sister ship to the Pacific Princess of which I also took cruises on. (The Love Boat) back in 81 It was awesome. The only thing that topped the canal cruise was my Alaska trip also on the Island Princess!

Great video. How were you able to capture all the web cam shots to make this? I am going on the Island Princess on 4/6 and would love to be able to do this to have a keepsake of the trip.

you need a screen capture program (like camtasia). Set it to record 2 frames per minute with a playback rate of 2 to 5 frames per second.

Many thanks for this information! Do you live there? Isn't it an amazing feat of engineering?
