Sad note: Joe Bee Xiong, 45, who is featured in this episode, died on Saturday, March 31, 2007, while visiting Laos. Xiong had recently been treated for heart related health issues, and family members believe he died of a heart attack. Xiong, who served two terms on the City Council in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, was the first Hmong elected to a city council in the United States. "Vets Remember" is an oral history about war and military service. Joe Bee Xiong, Captain Xiong and Captain Chang talk about helping the United States in the Vietnam War. Hosted by Craig Yamauchi, who is a Vietnam vet and retired from the U.S. Army.
