  • this song is brilliant and no one has commented on it? this whole albums is just way ahead of its time... this song, white light/white heat... sister ray? c'mon people... enoughs sweet jane and rock and roll, they're nice songs, but this is the true velvet underground sound!!! LISTEN TO THE SONG PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy VU's other output, but IMO by far the best (albeit with a few exceptions like 'Jesus', 'New Age' & 'Oh! Sweet Nuthin') of them is in the first two albums. Simply brilliant albums (again this is IMO but each had one weakness: 'European Son' & 'The Gift', respectively), & perhaps John Cale was the difference. He made them harder & pre-punkier.
