In memory of the late Godfather of Soul I'm posting this "funky" 1970's record spot I work on. Most of it is camera moves on stills. I remember we only had about eight shot to work with. The "Super Funky" animation was done by your's truly. My favorite one is the dancing James Brown. Hope you enjoy this blast from the past.

  • I ordered this when it came out. You said it sold millions? Is that true?

  • I can't say for sure if this one made millions, but the producer had several golden records hanging on the wall of his 5th Avenue home office, over looking Central Park. Those digs didn't come cheap. Thanks for looking.

  • What year did this come out?

  • I think I did this in 1976, '77. It was one those TV only record offers. The produce that did these have several gold record award for selling millions of these collections.
