I uploaded this video as part of an honors project in 2008. It amazes me that 135,444 people have watched, and many have commented. I'd appreciate it, however, if you guys could refrain from political comments.

This song isn't about being patrioic. Its about having pride in yourself. It is a tribute recognizing the abilities within each and every one of us and respecting these traits. Its about realizing that we are important and independent and above everything else, equal. Being common but being something extrordinary.

I don't think so. I think people think patriotism is an old fashioned, long forgotten concept and then they make up different meanings for this song.
