@EMSaction If I remember correctly Hwy 150 became like 14 or 15th Street once it came into Bessemer. Oddly enough I remember Midfield,Liscomb, Hueytown, and a little of Fairfield and Ensley as well. The last place I lived in the Bham area was in the Leeds-Trussville vicinity.

Made that trip many times over the last 20 some years!

Wish trips on 20/59 really went that quickly. Ohhh, the frustration of getting behind a coal or log truck while going down some two lane back road. Though sometimes they're going faster than eveyone else.

thats cool- tuscaloosa here....never seen the mercedes plant whizz by so fast.
Can somebody answer kind of a off the wall question for me. I used to live in Bessemer. Does the Bessemer Super Highway still exist? And does the little Highway 150 from Hoover (I think) to Bessemer still exist? Just curious I guess.

Yes to both. And Lakeshore runs from Homewood all the way to 150 in Bessemer now.

I'm trying to picture Lakeshore in my mind, but just can't. Oddly enough, I moved to Austin TX and they have a Lakeshore Drive here.

I would post a link but I don't think I can here. Try going to Google Maps and search for Lakeshore Drive, Homewood, AL I bet you'll remember it when you see it. It runs in front of Samford University.

That's part of the dash cam mount. I need to paint them black so they won't show up.
