Maybe if you actually took the initiative to delve in deeper into this REAL meaning behind this lecture and stop basing your judgment on Amazon reviews, you'd probably won't be left with such a distorted perception. *If* you read his book, you'd realize that the lecture was addressed to his children, which is the best thing one could leave for their children.
And why does it bother you if people are so inspired by this lecture? It's rare to find something that simple yet thought-provoking now.
I dont think he's arrogant. He just enjoys sarcasm which I (and many others) find funny. And he CHOOSES to stay happy & postive, despite the looming event that was hanging over his head.
crystalsky84, you should really do your research before you leave idiotic remarks that aim to disparage someone. comments like yours make me despair for humanity.
So you got your opinions from some other random people on amazon? Do you purposely look up other's opinions and take them as your own? I think that is worse than arrogance.
