I think Black Key's new record was great - great rock and roll. I like a couple of FTP songs, I'm not the biggest fan.

Black Keys are semi-recent, don't forget them. And Foster the People are another great new band. Awolnation and Cage the Elephant are two of the best new bands around. If you're a fan of rock music of any time in the last 20 or 25 years, you're probably going to like those two bands.

I LOVE Violent Soho's record. "Jesus Stole My Girlfriend" is by far one of the my favorite Rock songs from the 2010s.

Yeah I know what you mean. It's really annoying. Some other great modern bands are The Thermals, Manchester Orchestra, and Violent Soho.

Foos and Green Day are still relevant. Weezer may be a stretch but their commercial success is still relevant.
Best Coast, Wavves, Girls, Postelles are from the last few years. AWOLNATION, Cage The Elephant, Vampire Weekend, Two Door Cinema Club are also newer groups. But half of the people here will think they're just every other band because they're at the age where they think all new music sucks. Just go on YouTube. The comments are everywhere.

The Foo Fighters, Green Day, and Weezer are all from the '90s and in the case of Green Day, the '80s.
