Worst Movie Scenes of All Time: Episode 56

TAKE A HARD RIDE (1975) is not a bad movie by any means. In fact, it's quite good. It's a simple, entertaining western. Except for this headscratching moment.

Two black cowboys jumping a 100ft wide ravine in a rickety wagon happen every day where I live.

Even if we clearely see the wagon falling off the ravine... It got teleported to the other side!

Yup best part is when they are supposedly moving but the background isn't. Realism at it's finest.

It's not a really worse scene at all...In fact, it's a good scene. After all, BLACK MEN CAN REALLY JUMP...JIVE TURKEYS!!!

You could intercut this with the "Sheriff's childhood" sequence in "Blazing Saddles," and it wouldn't be out of place.

This was just as ludicrous as when the bus in Speed leaps over the big part of the LA freeway that is missing and safely lands on the other side.

First the horses disappear (i think... ), and the wagon just simply falls off a cliff... and suddenly that was enough to rocket them across this huge canyon?!!? And if it's so simple for them and a heavy wagon... why don't their pursuers just simply leap over this (apparently) deceptively large canyon???
