Kirani James 400m World Junior Record 44.80 SEC Indoors 2011

Grenada native Kirani James wins SEC Indoor 400m title in a new W.L, PB & SEC Meet Record of 44.80s.He also shattered the previous World junior indoor record of 44.93 set by reigning Olympic champion Lashawn Merritt on the same fast Fayetteville track in 2006. That performance catapulted him to the No. 3 spot all-time. Only World indoor record holder Kerron Clement (44.57) and all-time great Michael Johnson (44.63) have covered the distance faster indoors.
He would only get better with keen competition and i'm sure he is looking forward to more record breaking performances in the outdoor season.

@jc2fly Man if that wasnt a crazy meet to be at. 200m NCAA record in the 200m not once but twice and then the 400m NCAA record as well as World and American record set as well. Imagine being a freshman being at that meet my mind was blown!!

Kirani James is the meet record holder, but not the conference/wr holder.......Clement is.
