In this video, an endoscopic endonasal (through the nose) surgery is performed by Dr Andrew Little to completely remove a pituitary adenoma causing vision loss. Large pituitary tumors cause vision loss by putting pressure on the optic nerves. This video also demonstrates the normal pituitary gland and the diaphragma, a thin layer separating the brain from the pituitary gland.
