One of my favorites, I like the Soundstage version but my vid was deleted :-( Anyway, the sound is great, fun to hear you sing ;-)

excellent!

If she didn't intend to change the lyrics then
she should correct them once the errors are
pointed out. She still screws them in the latest
versions. Of course it his her right to screw
them up.

She messes up the lyrics to some of her
songs to the point where one wonders if she
understands the point of the song.

I wish she would just sing the lyrics correctly.
The Band performance is not a version, it's the original.

Yes, The Bands version may be the original, it is still one version of many however! Call it the original version, if you will.

Baez admits that she had not intended to change any lyrics and learned the song by listening to the original version.
Really, how hard would it have been to get the copy-write version of the lyrics. At least that's what Robertson said to me at a gig in Toronto.

Very true. Some of her changes are rather amusing. Still, I believe she now sings much closer to the original lyrics. Still "there goes THE Robert E Lee" however. Does she really mean the Paddle Steamer?

I am amused, I must say. This is an audience recording, and doesn't pretend to be anything else. The audience were encouraged by Joan to sing a long, and even thanked afterwards for doing so. Therefore it is perfectly acceptable for there to be the sound of the audience singing on this recording. The fact that Joan sings better than anyone else present only magnify's the reason why we all paid money to go and see her!
