A hickory horned devil caterpillar (turns into a regal moth.) I think the squirrel I'm rehabbing thought the caterpillar was her formula syringe since he is long and skinny, she kept trying to take him.

  • I'm a wildlife rehabilitator, and that squirrel isn't tame anymore. They have to be wild before I release them so they don't bother people (and get bothered BY people.)

  • Or she...

  • Same as any object, though a little slowly since they have little hooks on their feet so that they can stick to branches. If you pick them up too fast you can tear their bodies.

  • Their feet feel like velcro. I'm not scared of velcro, either. :)
