RH450 Rocked my Church!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday, March 22, 2009
I brought the RH450 along with the RC4 footswitch and the 2x12 cab to to my weekly worship and shook the foundation of the church. All of the other musicians were shocked that a package so small had such a big and clear sound, the highs were sweet and seemed to blossom without being harsh when slapping. The bottom was focused and thick without being boomy or muddy. I actually had to be careful of my volume. All this without even the need to plug into the house!!!
The thing that was so amazing is that I walked into church from the parking lot carrying the 2x12 with one hand.... the RH450 by the handle in the other... though it fit inside my gig bag's pouch. I carried my Lakland 5-string over my shoulder armed and dangerous!!! LOL! They could've had seat belts in the pews to keep people strapped in!!! The RH450 & 2x12 handled my low Bb like buttah! LOL!!!!! People danced and shouted and felt the power of bass in a way they had not heard or felt it before. The RH450 really made a profound difference in the sound of our music ministry!!!! All the musicians were floored!!! The entire congregation was caught up in the prophetic flow. Nobody left the church the way they came and many of them commented about they way the RH450 sounded!!! They said it sounded "World Class!"
That is what I'm talking about!!!! I don't ever want my equipment to get in the way of me being free to express myself musically!!! I don't ever need to have my confidence shaken as to whether or not my equipment is going to fail me. I've had some very well known rigs fail me in the past and I don't need to have that fear hanging over my head while I'm ministering on the bass. I often times say Bass is not just a frequency..... It's a serious responsibility!!!! We bass players are the glue that holds the groove together!!!! All our other bandmates are standing on the foundation we lay!!! They need to be sure of us!!! We need to be sure of our equipment!!! Everything that I have seen and experienced of the RH450 is top notch! World Class!!! I'm loving it!!!!
If drums are the heartbeat of the band.... the bass is the blood!!! We bring the groove to life. How healthy is the music if your rig is on life support! The RH450 breathed life into my music ministry Sunday morning! I'll keep everybody posted about upcomming rehearsals and gigs and how the RH450 does in different musical settings and styles of music. I see no reason to doubt it's ability to "do it again!"
To the brotherhood of Bass!

@ waterdeptworker: The Church is in Waukegan, Illinois which is about 40 miles north of Chicago.
@ leveeisbroken: Both basses are Laklands. The one I am playing is my fretted 5502 and the one in the bass stand is my fretless 5502.

You my man, need some professional recording set up to record all those great chops you have. The digital camera does you no justice (plus the RH450)!
Do you bring just one cab or two? I'm planning to do the same for my church, but I only have money for one TC cab. Do you think one is enough for you setting?

@mas502arc One cab is plenty. I don't even need to run the system through the house. It is loud but what I really like is it is so clean live. my camera mike could not do this system justice!

Really awesome, and I love the story!!
I'm thinking about getting the 450 and a 212 to start with for my church. We don't have a sub on the PA yet so I'm trying to find ways to beef up the sound and I think I just might be on the right track!

@bshall76 My honest opinion is you can't go wrong with it! The whole rig.... with the 2x12, 2x10, head, remote, and three basses fit in the trunk of my Camry!!!
