Rambut Monte Blitar

Rambut Monte tourism object is precisely a temple, which is located in the Krisik village, district Gandusari, approximately 30 km from Blitar city. This temple is a place of worship for the Hindu religion in the era of the Majapahit Kingdom. There is no comprehensive literature review on the history of this temple. The local inhabitant believe that the name of Rambut Monte was coming from the name of Eyang Rambut Monte, the officer of Majapahit Kingdom.

In this area, precisely at the bottom of the temple, there is a huge of spring water that clear and sparkling, thus forming a lake. This lake is inhabited by hundreds of rare fish as well as sacred by locals. One is not allowed to swim with the fish, but there is a swimming pool if you feel like it - the pool sides are slippery and the bottom muddy
