Trying to see how close i can come to the srv tone with a squier bullet and digitech rp90 comments appreciated to let me know what im missing im using b9 on the distortion which models the fender blackface and than some reverb....thats it..i also havent changed the strings to 11's yet either any questions or comments would be appreciated...it does sound a little trebley because of the thiness of the squier bullet And yes that was little wing i was trying to play it note for note i was really trying to hit one note at a time to show the clarity of the tone so maybe it would be more clear as to what im missing so dont say i played it wrong lol

  • I wanna know the settings on this!

  • lol i actually dont know the settings ive changed them since...its not to hard to figure it out just sit down with your rp90 and test every setting until you find the ones you like....took me maybe 15 minutes to get this tone the way i wanted it

  • the tone sounds pretty good to me. Yours is a little trebbely so just turn up the lows. I have a Squire Strat Standard Series and it sounds good too if you go to preset # 69 and change the distortion to b9. Also if you just use either t4 or t5 as the distortion alone it sounds more like Stevie's dirtier tone, reason being he used a TS9 tube screamer and that sound on the RP90 moldes one. And bigger strings (Stevie some times played on 15's, but some times 11's to save his fingers.

  • hey thanks man ill try that yea it does sound a bit trebley its mostly due to the thinner body on the bullet id say i still have to switch strings and give that a try and hopefully ill post a full cover here soon

  • Hey the tone sounds great! It's really close to that nice overdriven traditional strat tone that Stevie erupted with. Once you get 11s it'll sound really good. Good playing too! Rock on!

  • appreciate the comment not to bad for a 60 dollar guitar huh? lol im gonna record again with my korean modified squier that should sound even better
