HPR 2011 customer appreciation lapping day, 12/28/11, afternoon session1 (fast group)

This was shot through the windshield of my '93 Civic (B18C1 swap, N/A) with an HTC Sensation during an early afternoon session of the 2011 Customer Appreciation lapping day at High Plains Raceway, CO on Dec. 28 2011. Watch it set at 480p for the best picture.

I'm on REALLY old/hard 225/45-15 Hoosier R6s. This is the first time I've driven the track since the repaving/repairs in corners 5, 6, 8, and 13.

The clip starts at T1. At 0:28, Mike Pettiford in his C6 Corvette ZR1 blows past me on the back straight, followed by a Rossion Q1 approaching T4 @ 0:34. I try to keep these two way faster cars in sight, but I can't... I've basically lost them by the time I'm rounding T11 @ 1:40.

I catch up to a Miata between T1 and T2 around 2:25, and I pass the MIata (and the Rossion Q1, which has slowed way down for some reason) on the back straight before T4. Turning in at T5, I lose the back end @ 2:52, tankslap it a couple times, and go four off into the mud on the outside of T5. Whoops.

After getting back on the track, and moving way off the racing line, I try to clean the tires by wiggling the car left and right a bunch of times, but in T6, as I round it at 4/10ths, the back end slides out again (3:23). Yup, the tires are still dirty.

My best (recorded) lap that day was a 2:11.302, from start/finish to start/finish, with a passenger.

@CSKX27: Hey thanks, not sure that I'm 'killin it' but I'm definitely trying! HPR is an awesome track; definitely take advantage of one of the open lapping days... tons of track time for cheap! They're on weekends during the winter, and usually FRIDAYS during the summer (the track is being used for race events every weekend during race season).
