  • My ex-girlfriend's family made this game. I don't like this game any more...

  • No, go fish! hahahahaha

  • @sasjhwa Oh and on the symbol's wikipedia page there's a quote from Moorcock saying he's been told it's an 'ancient symbol' but that's probably a bit of wishful thinking on someone's part. Interesting as the symbol is, it's clearly a strong visual creation, I've always thought of it as an odd symbol for chaos - I'd always thought chaos would have a few more wiggly lines...

  • @sasjhwa My understanding is that the symbol has become so popular that it has been used in the iconography of some personal interpretations of Pagan faiths - but Shinamash is spot on that it's original creation is down to Moorcock. The idea of an eight-pointed star isn't uncommon is iconography through the ages, but it was apparently never used to represent the idea of chaos.

  • @shinamash That is interesting. I did not know that it was used by Wicca. It never turned up in any books I read on the subject. There is more that we don't know than what we do. :-)

  • @sasjhwa as far as I know it is a fairly universal theme although the earliest I recall seeing it was in Morrcocks writing (so I guess it was more described then seen) but wiccans and other groups use it to represent chaos as well

  • I always thought the 8 arrow star as a symbol for chaos was a Games Workshop symbol used in Warhammer and Warhammer 40k. Do you know if this is a more universal symbol or if these guys just used Games Workshop's idea?
