Strollo's Cafe play 'Locked Out' by Crowded House. This version is inspired by a comment Neil Finn made during one of his concerts when he said that 'Locked Out' is a better song when played slowly - I'll leave you to be the judge of that . Please leave a comment ! You might also take the chance to look at some of our other postings of our own original material.!

  • No issue with your talent. Just that I adore the urgency of the original. Maybe it's what you get used to. If this was a Splitz Enz song I'd adore it!

  • I remember seeing that little spiel from Neil on TV from an Irish music festival and have been playing this slowed down version in my bedroom for years.... nice work fellas!

  • I remember when Crowded House did the FIRST EVER Intimate & Interactive on Much Music in Canada, when Paul was still in the band, Neil did a little bit of his slow version of Locked Out. I remember thinking it would have been AWESOME. Wish he would do an actual slow studio/live version for purchase.

  • Great arrangement. Needs tighter rhythm and make it SWIIIIIING! The singing needs to be less tied to the beat! AWESOME THOUGH!

  • Love it. Don't think I've ever heard a mandolin sound quite like that before. :-)

  • fast or slow - a great tune. Excellent work here!

  • That was brilliant.

  • Part 2 of 2:I think a wet day in the park with trees and clouds (crying on you) and birds, etc., would have worked far better - I don't think we needed to see you performing the song - we can hear the talent in the music, the vocals, the arrangements and solos. Still, I look forward to whatever you do next, the orginal songs are top notch IMHO.

  • Part 1 of 2: I'm a House & Finn fan and almost didn't recognise the track first time its a great take on the original. Although the vid has a certain homemade charm it's all a bit claustrophobic - more "locked in" than "locked out."

  • Sounds Great!!!
