  • very cool cats ! :-))

  • This tune is the great Jazz Standard "Perdido" composed by Juan Tizol but forever associated with Duke Ellington. Ellington composed 1500 songs in his life but is best known for tunes that grew from the collaboration of Duke and his bandmates. This post is a great demo of call-response that always fascinating game of jazz tag played by teaming up great players. It also shows why the Jazz Standard era when swing was king and giants were among us -will forever stand like Bachs or Mozarts.
