12th June 2009: We took the Snowdon Mountain Railway to the summit, the first day of running to the summit for 3 years and the day the new Summit Cafe (Hafod Eryri) opened. This is just a clip, sorry about the panning being too fast as I now realise. First we show inside the cafe, then a quick shot of the train (ignore the converstion about dogs - they dont let them in!), then the view from the outside and a quick shot of some TV reporters. The slate/stone work on the outside of the building is very impressive.
i was up there today..certainly wasnt like that (full of snow and the cafe was all closed lol)

I was there with around 200 others on the day of Hafod Eryris grand opening.
The weather was perfect and mild and good for Rodney Morgan the then first Minister of Wales who walked up from Pen Y Pass while the rest of the brass came up by train.
A day i will always remember and i managed to get one of the special ultra rare VIP passes that sponsors were given.
A chap who had been one of the main sponsors gave me his in the Royal Victoria CarPark.
Why he didn't keep it i donot know.
