  • love this cut , trucks gets really nasty with that slide solo, love this song , dylan always says what alot of us are thinkiing, everything is broken . love the truth.

  • so groovy! Who play the Hammond ?

  • That song makes me goose-flesh

    Greetings from faaaaaaar Poland:)

  • @j0381ack - uh...that's most certainly NOT RL playing slide at 3:17 - that's NOT his guitar style at ALL.

  • Yah, these musicians express this work on a more basic level than I have heard live, although even live by others, the lyrics hit me; and that has to be respected as Dylan's.(The guy does know language better than most of us, and also perceives the world more straight-forwardly than most of us can. The more people stick their heads in the sand, otherwise, the worse the situation gets.) Now, get this: I heard this song live over ten years ago already, and was impressed with it back even then.

  • How to explain,,, most folks have lost interest by 3:17 in this , one of a kind, masterpiece. But what goes before, only sort of prepares you for the absolute genius to follow, when R.L. wrenches the guts out of a slide guitar, then intensifies the pain again and again... So that you are left knowing that he lived that... what he is singing... Bob Dylan wrote the words and penned the tune, but truth be told R.L. is more qualified to sing and play it.

  • very cool,

  • quite possibly the last great Blues musician.. R.I.P. R L

  • @gusthebroken2 thank you my dear friend Gus for this great tune :-) i love it...!!!
