Morning Breath show at Fifty 24PDX Gallery

FIFTY 24PDX Gallery presents a new exhibit of artwork from the Brooklyn-based duo Morning Breath. In celebration of the release of their recent book of the same name, "The Early Bird" will exhibit Morning Breath artwork from recent years alongside new pieces and installations designed specifically for this show.

Doug Cunningham and Jason Noto founded the design studio Morning Breath, Inc. in 2002. As design collaborators, they deliver informed visual experiences for a wide array of industries from gaming to advertising, publishing to clothing. As art collaborators, Morning Breath showcases an approach which transcends the pop clutter with pieces that fuse portraiture, collage, and digital composition. Using bold colors and bolder characters, their work explores gritty inspiration from tats, muscle cars, pointed push up bras, the back of comic books, bail bonds, Mexican wrestlers, and little kids.

An opening reception for The Early Bird will be held Thursday, February 1st, from 6:00-9:30PM and will feature the artists in attendance. The show runs until late March.

Gallery hours are Wednesday - Saturday, 12pm - 7pm.
