  • How the Hell does the band play Streep off? She's MERYL STREEP!

  • Great speech. I love the "Emma Thompson will hold a grudge" and the "I can sing this too..." parts. What a class act!

  • She has the most brilliant sense of humor. :)

  • I love that big sigh and her opening line.. ohhh Meryl--what a wonderful woman. I'd love to meet her one day.

  • This is what I call a true talent. Meryl's speech is always witty and funny.

  • Ah Meryl, what class, grace, and pure acting bravado. It's a shame they played her off, her humor was wonderful and the last part of her speech was terrific!

  • Helen Mirren in a saree! FTW!!!!

  • The best, most clever, and funniest acceptance speech ever!... How can anyone ever top that?!... Meryl rocks!! (This is why I love the Golden Globes. Generally everyone is "overserved", and the irreverent and raucous behavior tends to abound, before evryone feels compelled to "sober up" for the Oscars....)

  • Meryl:"You know there are somedays when I myself think I'm overrated"

    *People laughs*

    Meryl:"But not todayyyy!"

Wuahaha! That was awesome! I love you Meryl!

  • Sing it , Meryl ...You are AMAZING ..xoxo

  • @MuscleDaddyCMH She did play A continental principality. Emma Thompson played the American Continental Principality but Meryl played the Australian Principality. You need to go back and watch the movie again. It's near the end of the film.

  • She did not play the role of Continental Principality in this as the announcer says.....that was Emma Thompson
