Paganism is related to christianity in so many ways. I myself believe the astrotheology theory such as in zeitgeist. The roman church also has pagan influence in their use of pinecones. Pine = christmas tree and the pagans also believe pinecones and evergreens symbolize eternal life. There's also some connections with monoliths. Look up "Jordan Maxwell christianity" and look at his site. Maxwell believes in some weird shit like reptile aliens but his findings on christianity are very interesting

Yeah-I'm sure it does. The show was interesting because there are so many holes in the bible and books being left out of it. This is why I could never take it literally. It is no different than the Epic of Gilgamesh, Puranas, and any other text written during those times. I was just talking to a friend about this same thing. If you say you believe in the Bible literally this means you believe in a talking snake, virgin birth and Genesis...wow

I know christmas lights are modern idea and thats my point. There are enough differences for a distinction. Seeing as we dont worship the tree or anything like that.
Now there may have been other ideas originating from pagans like a yule or 12 days of christmas. But these are more of the strictly commercial aspects of it. They have no relevance to me
