Yisrael Gutman was born in Warsaw in 1923. His parents and older sister perished in the ghetto, and his younger sister was a member of Janusz Korczak's orphanage. As a member of the Jewish Underground in the Warsaw ghetto, Yisrael Gutman was wounded in the uprising. From Warsaw he was taken to Majdanek, and from there to Auschwitz. In May 1945 he was sent on the death march to Mauthausen. In total, he spent two years in the camps. After the war he helped in the rehabilitation of survivors, was active in the Bericha movement, and immigrated to Palestine in 1946. A world-renowned scholar of Holocaust studies, Prof. Gutman has dedicated his life to studying the Holocaust and perpetuating its lessons for the next generations.

  • @ilovevampires1918 I agree completely. I wish the people who say it never happened lived in that time to eye-witness it themselves. To feel the pain and suffering those people felt. To hear death crys when they died. It was indeed very, very real.

  • Those who deny the holocoast does it because they want to complete it. Criminals.

  • @TravellerFellow why the hell would you watch this video then?

  • @getwhatwegive98 right right right..maybe they need to introduce like a slavery day course for the next generation who says it didn't happen or "I wasn't there for that." The memory of this universe won't allow us to forget that.

  • To me THE BEST REVENGE is what BLUESBOY said 5 months ago: THE JEW LIVED AND THRIVED TO THIS VERY DAY and no matter how many MEAN people there are in this world who would to this day try and PERSECUTE the JEWS whether by their rotten tongues by DENYING THE HOLOCAUST EVER HAPPENED.... IT DID AND THE LIVING JEWS AND THOSE WHO LOVE THEM WITH ALL THEIR HEART WILL ALWAYS KEEP THE MEMORY OF THE HOLOCAUST ALIVE FOREVERMORE!!!!

  • @Dymitry95 I'm from Virginia, but my great great grandfather lived in England. Try getting up from the computer and walking to your refridgerator, OH MY GOD, you just MOVED. That's a hard concept to wrap your head around, isn't it?

  • @australbanian there a sick invention made , a furnace that could reheat from human fat (no kidding) , someone the SS science section came up with the idea in an effort to save on fuel consumption, ironically. The plan was developed , but I dont know if they ever implemented it. I found out from one of curriculum history text books heh

  • I don't care about this individual. nothing. it is . after all the individual is semitic, not white.

  • Please Help stop the Zimbabwean Genocide occurring right now! View my page and please help spread the word of this terrible tragedy, many farmers are dying right now. They need support from all of us. Thank you

  • we even to this day we still haven't learned from the past

  • @REVer112 but you are from England. how your grandfather was in auscwitz in poland? he was an english soldier prisioner captured by nazis?

  • What I do like about these videos is at the end they show that these people not only lived but thrived. That's what I like. They had their revenge. They became active in creating a Jewish State that is modern and flourishing, they raised wonderful families, they had magnificent careers. To me that is the best part about these videos.
