Strephon chants a spiritual Kyrie different from church chants for spiritual people to chant to as well. Strephon chants with the harmonium for healing. "I discovered Dream Chant in 1986 around. I was influenced by the German composer who had us as a group just make sounds together. Seemed weird at the time. I already used the harmonium from ethno-musicology studies but that had compositions. I thought, what would happen if you set a certain tone to the harmonium and then just improvised completely, letting go to source? It took courage. I started using Dream Chant with my dreamwork training groups and a little in public both in California and in my trainings in Britain, Norway and the Netherlands, getting some healing chants from people in the early nineties. Around then I introduced the chant to my soul mate friend and Swedish pop star, No Name, who said 'you have to study for this first, don't you?' I said to just listen and I would start and if the sounds just come to you from a deep place, join in. The duet we produced together was amazingly transcendent. We went right to the core, the originating source of music and soul. My friend went on to train a Danish chorus in doing Dream Chant I believe, though I never got to hear any of it. Truly, we were soul buddies at the time, but husband intervened! He was her musician as well! Thanks, Soul Friend! You helped my soul. I hope I helped yours."------Visit Strephon's Extraordinary New Blog Site at: http://strephonsays.com/blog/2008/11/hello-potential-members/------
Yes, it is a Shruti box. Maybe the harmonium is this brass reed instrument but with a keyboard as well? I have this also.
