  • Hey guys, goes without saying awesome cover.

Question... did u follow tabs that are available somewhere on the net?

I noticed capos... and chords seem to be diff that most I have found online.

    Thanks

  • @mediumRareify Thanks! We created our parts by ear so there probably wont be tabs for this version online. The guitar on the left was tuned half a step down, thats why there's a capo on the first fret. My guitar on the right is tuned normally but has a capo on upside down on the second fret. The capo, however, is adjusted so that the low E string is not pressed down by the capo. I did this so that I could hold an open 'D' chord but have it ring loud and deep with all 6 strings.

  • Hey great playing. Been checking out your videos and you play with A LOT of different people. All have sounded great. Do you happen to remember where you had the H4n placed in the room (also the H4n placement in the Posters cover video)? Do you find it picks up the audio better if you play next to someone as opposed to across from each other. Hope that makes sense. Anyway, keep strumming!

  • @eyeandmind Thanks for the comments! I'm still experimenting with placement. In this video it's sitting on a chair just to my left slightly in front of me. The audio here is taken from the H4n and the audio track from the camera. I then take those tracks and put them in Logic then EQ and add a bit of compression. I usually find it best if I put at least one of the mics pointed in the direction of the singers mouth. The vocals are always the quietest and require the most work to stand out.

  • That was spot on from the guitar, vocals and sound. I have a 7d and am looking at buying the zoom h4n. Sounds really rich really sounded like I was in the room. Great job!

  • Thanks! The h4n is a great unit, especially if you're into music. I definitely recommend it.
