Becalmed 120 miles from Cape Flattery we are surrounded by Dall's Porpoises and Finback Whales. Laura takes advantage of the calm waters to make a pancake breakfast.

Journey along with the crew of S/V Lealea as we sail from Honolulu to Neah Bay, WA in an Albin Vega 27. To view the entire "Sailing Across the Pacific" series from 2007 visit our channel and click the "Sea Log" playlist. For our trip down the West Coast of California see our "Sailing the Pacific Coast" series and our most recent passage "Sailing Back to Hawaii" is now complete.

  • the whales breathing was just amazing, but then the music cutting in kinda ruined the moment.

  • @TailsBit Yeah. This was one of our earlier videos. We are getting better at editing. Check out some of the newer stuff.

  • what happened to all the other video sailing days? YOu went from day 32 to day 53 with no other videos available. Are there more?

    love them

  • Actually going sailing does interfere somewhat with editing and posting on YouTube d8^)

We have been out cruising but are now in port for a while so I'll get back to my chores. There will be about 20 more video log entries for the Across the Pacific voyage plus quite a few from cruising in the Pacific Northwest. Next Summer we are sailing to Alaska.

    Stay tuned.

  • love your vids, will be following from now on .... always liked that boat and some day a Vega it will be for me....

Is the dinette still convertable to a bunk?

    fair winds to you

  • The dinette does not convert into a bunk because the lockers that form the seat backs make it too short. However, it could easily be built as a convertible if you were willing to give up the storage space or if were intended for children.
