@yellowbeen1 Back then it was "Separate but Equal"... Blacks were considered Cowards in face of danger, Had bad night vision and over all a bad soldier... Which proved to be the biggest bs ever... These men and women are heroes.

this is so racist to form a unit only consisted of "African-American"

Because of racism, we never hear enough of our history. Thanks for the video!

Amazing footage thanks

God Bless them. How come we never hear about this. Not only that Canadian women re-located to the US to work in munitions factories. Women in GB also served their country. I am so glad I saw this.

The women who have served in the Armed Forces do not get enough recognition for their service. Thanks for posting this video. I just learned about the 6888 earlier this year. This is the first video that I have seen about these women.
My late aunt Rose served with the 6888th. When I was a kid, she often shared the photos she took and the great stories, friends, and life lessons of their experiences during WWII.
It was tough trying to choke back the tears of joy and pride while watching this video of her unit finally get the credit that they have long deserved.
Thank You.
